Brief Introduction
Wherever you are, you need a place to live. Buying or selling real estate may be the largest single investment that you make in your lifetime, while renting a house usually comes with a lot of problems. Real Estate cases involve many acts or laws, such as Real Estate Law, Landlord and Tenant Act, the federal fair housing act, etc. So why not find a lawyer to assist you with each phase of the transaction?

Real estate deals with real estate, or property, which encompasses anything permanently affixed to land, such as buildings, fences, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, or other items that would be personal property if not attached.

Real Estate law is the law that covers transactions between real estate brokers and sellers. Real estate brokers are employed through real estate firms to act as agents for individuals that are selling real estate. Real estate law varies from state to state, but the general terms that govern the industry are standard throughout the United States.

The Landlord and Tenant Act covers rental of a residence, such as an apartment, a mobile home, or a house. It does not apply to rooming houses, hotels or motels, temporary housing at a shelter or supportive housing program, or any type of commercial property.

A title is the evidence that you have outright ownership and possession of land. It is possible that someone other than the owner has a legal right to the property. If his or her right can be established, he or she can claim the property outright or make demands on the owner as to its use.
